I think that free people in a free nation are obligated to stay informed, know who they are voting for and why. We need to let said elected officials know when they are off track. We can’t afford to be sheep. If sheep suddenly find themselves shivering in the cold with no wool, well it is only because they blindly followed the wrong shepherd. Apathy, ignorance, blatant stupidity are the biggest threat to democracy… It is a government of, for and by the people.. and trust me people if we choose not to participate there are folks that will. Pay attention, give a shit, and honor the principles that built this country and other great democracies and the system, against all odds works. We all want a stable society, so fight for it!
